Without a doubt, delegation is the hardest. And delegating by articulating the goal and outcome vs micromanaging the steps is even harder.

Your comment about peers groups (Vistage, EO, YPO) or Coaches/Mentors can’t be emphasized enough.

Totally agree! The "delegation tree" framework I learned at Exact Target helped so much but it's still not easy!

Hi Kathryn, I think one of the hardest parts of building a company is the shift from owning everything to trusting others with it. After all the blood, sweat and tears that gets you to PMF then growth - it’s critical to find the right founding team before expanding. That foundation is everything and determines whether you’re building a house of cards or brick snd mortar.

Yes! And it's hard because no one cares as much as the founder. Even if you have an amazing employee, it's impossible to care as much as someone who built it and owns it!
